HYPERTHERMIA

Hyperthermia is the increase of temperature in the cancer cells by the use of microwave energy and is one of the most effective and exciting therapies known for the treatment of near-the-surface tumors.

Microwaves controlled by a computer are beamed into the cancer mass, raising the internal temperature of the cancer cell above what it can tolerate. At a certain point, approximately 107 to 108 degrees Fahrenheit, the cancer cell dies. Unlike healthy cells, a tumor is a tightly packed group of cells, and circulation is restricted and sluggish. When heat is applied to the tumor, vital nutrients and oxygen are cut off from the tumor cells. This results in a collapse of the tumor's vascular system and destruction of the cancer cells.

In normal tissues, blood vessels open up (dilate) when heat is applied, dissipating the heat and cooling down the cell environment. The microwave energy passes through normal cells which are not affected because of the efficient blood supply acting as a radiator to carry away the increased heat.
It has been our experience that the total destruction of the tumor by hyperthermia is rarely achieved, but the damage (through injury to the cell) is so effective in stopping cell division that the result is the same. The body now has an opportunity to slowly destroy the mass and eliminate the debris without overloading the liver and kidneys.

Hyperthermia is, very simply, the application of concentrated therapeutic heat to treat cancer. Due to its increasingly impressive research and clinical track record, it is considered as "main-stream" as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, and is now recognized as the "fourth modality" in approved cancer treatment. In the United States, hyperthermia is offered in conjunction with other accepted allopathic treatments for cancer. In Mexico we have the ability to offer hyperthermia without partnering it with chemotherapy or radiation thereapy.

It is effective in treating tumors in many locations, including: Brain, Bone, Throat, Thyroid, Breast, Liver, Pancreas, Colon, Ovaries, Uterus, Prostate, Skin, and other anatomical sites.
